Performing Factory Reset on Motoroloa Droid Razr Maxx HD
Factory or Hard (Full) Reset:
It may be necessary to perform a reset if your device fails to respond when buttons are pressed or the screen is tapped.
Warning:
This
will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your
device and any programs that have been installed. You should only
perform
a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your
device to an operational state.
Factory Reset Via Device Buttons:
- Power up the phone by pressing the VOL UP + VOL DOWN KEY together + POWER KEY .
- The device will enumerate with different BOOT OPTIONS
- Use the Volume Down Key to scroll and Volume Up Key to select.
- Select Recover.
- Wait to see the Android Icon.
- Rock the Volume Up and Volume Down Buttons back and forth to bring up the recovery menu
- Scroll to "wipe data/factory reset"
- Press Power to select "wipe data/factory reset"
- Scroll to "yes"
- Press Power to select "yes"
- Wait to complete "Factory Data Reset"
- Press Power to select "reboot system now"
