Performing Factory Reset and Removing Password on Amazon Kindle 2 U.S Sprint

Factory or Hard (Full) Reset:

It may be necessary to perform a reset if your device fails to respond when buttons are pressed or the screen is tapped.

These Resets can be apply on Following Kindle Devices:

• Kindle 3 3G + WiFi Graphite/White (U.S. and Canada) (B006).
• Kindle 3 WiFi (B008).
• Kindle 3 3G + WiFi Graphite (Europe) (B00A).

Soft Reset Amazon Kindle 3: 

• Slide the power button to the right and hold it for 15 seconds. Release it when the screen turns white.  

Alternative Reset Amazon Kindle 3:

1. Slide the power button and hold it for 30 sec.
2. Release and wait for 20 sec until the screen begins to flash.
3. As soon as it does, plug in the power and keep it connected for 2 hours. 

Factory Reset Amazon Kindle 3:

1. From the Home screen, press Menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Press Menu.
4. Select Reset to Factory Defaults. 

Remove Password and Reset Factory Settings:

1. Enter "resetmykindle" into the password field.
2. Press Enter.
