Performing Factory Reset on Motorola Cliq2
Factory or Hard (Full) Reset:
It may be necessary to perform a reset if your device fails to respond when buttons are pressed or the screen is tapped.
Warning:
This
will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your
device and any programs that have been installed. You should only
perform
a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your
device to an operational state.
Factory Reset Via Device Buttons:
Resetting With Android 2.2 (Froyo)
- Power off the phone, press and hold "x" key on the keyboard, then press the power button.
- Wait for the "triangle ! / Android" screen then release the "x" key
- Press the "@" key to bring up recovery menu
- Use Navigation Keys (left/right) to select “wipe data/factory reset" and press the Enter/Rtn key
- Navigate on-screen menu to select “Reboot System Now” and press Enter/Rtn key
- Wait for device to reboot
- Login in with your credentials
Resetting With Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
- Power off the phone, press and hold "x" key on the keyboard, then press the power button.
- Wait for the "triangle ! / Android" screen then release the "x" key
- Press the volume up and down key simultaneously to bring up recovery menu
- Use volume up and down key to select “wipe data/factory reset" and press the Power button to confirm action
- Navigate down to select "Yes -- delete all user data", using the volume keys, followed by the Power button to confirm
- Navigate on-screen menu to select “reboot system now” and press the Power button to confirm action
- Wait for device to reboot
- Login in with your credentials
