How to Reset Samsung GT-S5230

Performing Hard Reset on Samsung GT-S5230


Normal (Soft) Reset:

A normal reset stops all running applications but does not erase any programs or saved data.
Caution be sure to save any unsaved data before performing a normal reset since a normal reset erases all unsaved data.
 
  1. Press End key to power down the phone.
  2. When the phone has powered-down Press End key again to power on.
  3. If step 1 is not powering down the phone:
  4. Detach the battery from the phone.
  5. Re-attach the battery to the phone.
  6. Press End key to power on.



Hard (Full) Reset:

Warning:
Perform a full reset, your Samsung GT-S5230 returns to its default settings and looses all information that is not recorded in ROM (Read Only Memory) including Contacts, Messages etc..


Note: It is recommended you back up all data you want to keep before continuing. 
 
 
Via Phone Settings: 

  • Press MENU > Settings > Reset settings > Sellect All (or what you want) and select YES.
 
Alternate Procedure:
 
  • press *2767*3855#
