Hard Reset Motorola Photon Q XT897

Steps to perform hard reset through mobile Keys and Settings,steps to enter in recovery mode, wipe data and factory reset.

Important Instructions:

• If you have an external memory in your Motorola Photon Q XT897, you must remove it to avoid losing your important data, since the process of hard reset will erase all content in its path.
• As the internal memory can not be removed, I suggest you make a complete backup of your important files, because the hard reset will delete all data types or existing files.
• Before starting make sure you have the device charged up to 70%.

Hard Reset Through Phone Settings

• Your mobile should be switched on.
• Tap on Settings from the Main Menu.
• Tap on Backup & reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Device.
• Select Erase Everything if you want to clear all your data and select OK to confirm.
• Done.

Hard Reset Through Phone Keys

• Switched off your phone.
• Press and hold Volume Up + Power for a few seconds.
• Release the Keys when you see the Android Logo on screen.
• Now press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down to enter the Recovery Mode.
• Select the "Wipe data / Factory reset" by using the Volume Down and Power Key to confirm.
• Choose "Yes--delete all user data" by using the Volume Down and Power Key to confirm.
• Select "reboot system now" to restart the phone.
• That's it.

Warning:
This will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your device and any programs that have been installed. You should only perform a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your device to an operational state.
