Performing Hard Reset on Acer Iconia Tab A210


Factory or Hard (Full) Reset:

It may be necessary to perform a reset if your device fails to respond when buttons are pressed or the screen is tapped.


Warning: 
This will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your device and any programs that have been installed. You should only perform a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your device to an operational state.


Reset Via Device Buttons:
  1. Hold the tablet in landscape mode, with the volume key on the top.
  2. Press and hold volume down and the power button to power on the tablet.
  3. When the tablet vibrates, release the power button but keep holding the volume down button.
  4. When the tablet vibrates a second time, release the volume down button and then press and hold the volume up button.
  5. When Booting recovery kernel image is shown in the upper left corner of the screen, release the volume up button.
  6. The Android system recovery menu is displayed.
  7. Use the volume down button to highlight wipe data/factory reset, then press the power button.
  8. Use the volume down button to select Yes - delete all user data, then press the power button.
  9. Highlight reboot system now, then press the power button. The tablet reboots and the factory reset is complete.
