Performing Factory Reset on Motorola Charm


Factory or Hard (Full) Reset:

It may be necessary to perform a reset if your device fails to respond when buttons are pressed or the screen is tapped.


Warning: 
This will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your device and any programs that have been installed. You should only perform a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your device to an operational state.


Factory Reset Via Device Buttons:
  1. Power off the phone, press and hold “X” key, then press power button.
  2. Release “X” key when Triangle Droid screen is displayed.
  3. Press Power button again to enter recovery mode and display menu choices.
  4. Use Right/Left Nav-Key arrows to navigate through the on-screen menu
  5. Navigate on-screen menu to select “wipe data/factory reset” and then press “Return” key
  6. Navigate on-screen menu to select “reboot system now” and then press “Return” key
  7. Wait for device to reboot
