Performing Factory Reset on Motorola Cliq2


Factory or Hard (Full) Reset:

It may be necessary to perform a reset if your device fails to respond when buttons are pressed or the screen is tapped.


Warning: 
This will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your device and any programs that have been installed. You should only perform a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your device to an operational state.


Factory Reset Via Device Buttons:

Resetting With Android 2.2 (Froyo)
  1. Power off the phone, press and hold "x" key on the keyboard, then press the power button.
  2. Wait for the "triangle ! / Android" screen then release the "x" key
  3. Press the "@" key to bring up recovery menu
  4. Use Navigation Keys (left/right) to select “wipe data/factory reset" and press the Enter/Rtn key
  5. Navigate on-screen menu to select “Reboot System Now” and press Enter/Rtn key
  6. Wait for device to reboot
  7. Login in with your credentials 

Resetting With Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
  1. Power off the phone, press and hold "x" key on the keyboard, then press the power button.
  2. Wait for the "triangle ! / Android" screen then release the "x" key
  3. Press the volume up and down key simultaneously to bring up recovery menu
  4. Use volume up and down key to select “wipe data/factory reset" and press the Power button to confirm action
  5. Navigate down to select "Yes -- delete all user data", using the volume keys, followed by the Power button to confirm
  6. Navigate on-screen menu to select “reboot system now” and press the Power button to confirm action
  7. Wait for device to reboot
  8. Login in with your credentials
